JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has appointed TC Chetty as South Africa country manager, tasking him with leading RICS through the next stage of its strategic development in the country.

Chetty previously served as an executive director for planning and development coordination at Tongaat Hulett Developments, as well as president of the South Africa Property Owners Association and had vast experience in engaging with high-level government, business and property professionals.

RICS said the appointment affirmed the institution’s commitment to building lasting relationships with professional bodies and organisations involved in the land, property and the built environment sector in South Africa and Africa and to work collaboratively on capacity building, best practice guidance and international standards.
