Since its humble beginnings in 1981, the Refraline group of companies – which consists of Refraline, Refraline Natal, Refraline SA Industrial Linings, WR Refractory Services and Didier Corrosion Engineering – has grown into one of the leading refractory contractors in sub-Saharan Africa.

The group, which has its headquarters at 82 Bell street, in Meadowdale, Germiston, is a specialist in the installation, repair and maintenance of refractory solutions in a range of industries, including iron and steel, ferroalloys, nonferrous metals, platinum-group metals, chemicals and petrochemicals, cement and lime, power generation, mining, clay brick, glass and ceramics.

For effective lining removal in kilns and ladles, Refraline boasts remote-controlled MB330 and MB150 demolishing machines, which reduce downtime, increase productivity and improve safety. The other major equipment it has includes hydraulically operated telescopic rough-terrain forklifts.

The ISO 9001:2008-accredited group employs a core workforce of 400 skilled permanent staff, who are supplemented by a substantial pool of temporary personnel.

Refraline has undertaken numerous prestigious contracts in South Africa, Botswana, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Mauritius, Mozambique and Namibia, as well as in the Middle East and Australia.
