From Creamer Media in Johannesburg, this is the Real Economy Report.

Last year, Transnet Rail Engineering unveiled 50 tanker wagons, which were built at its Germiston plant. Equipment and technology worth over R20-million was invested, for the plant to meet the specific requirements of the wagons. Megan Wait has the story.

Megan Wait:
Dubbing it a milestone for TRE, Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba said that the delivery of the tanker wagons positioned Transnet as a market leader in Southern Africa. These wagons will be used to ensure fuel security to South Africa’s landlocked neighbour Botswana.
