Three new wire spiral hydraulic hoses are now available to the South African market.

Used mainly on earthmoving machines and underground mining machines, all three hoses have a hydraulic oil temperature range of -40 °C to 121 °C, with occasional peaks of up to 125 °C.

The hoses are made of synthetic rubber tube, with either four or six wire spirals and an abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber cover which is Mine Safety and Health Administration flame retardant approved.

Hydraulic and Automation Warehouse (HAW) recently added the hoses to its range of Intertraco hydraulic hose.

The additions to the range consist of the Intertraco 4ST and 4ST+, each with a four-wire spiral, and the 6ST which consists of a six-wire spiral.

The 4ST is designed for high-pressure hydraulic systems, for use with mineral and biological hydraulic oils, polyglycol base oils, water-oil emulsions and water.

The 4ST+ and 6ST variants offer the same features and are designed for high-pressure hydraulic systems with extreme high-pressure peaks.

The internal hose diameter on the 4ST range is between 5/8” to 2” with working pressure ranging from 3 600 psi to 5 000 psi and bend radius from 100 mm to 315 mm.

The 4ST+ has an internal hose diameter ranging from 3/8” to 1.1/4”, working pressure varying from 6 000 psi to 6 500 psi and bend radius from 80 mm to 250 mm.

The internal hose diameter on the 6ST measures from 1.1/4” to 2”, working pressure is from 6 000 psi to 6 500 psi, while the bend radius is from 260 mm to 395 mm.

The range of Intertraco hydraulic hoses is available from HAW branches countrywide.
