Professional services firm PwC on Thursday announced that it had successfully completed its acquisition of management consulting firm Booz & Company, with all closing conditions for the deal having been met.

Booz & Company would now change its name to Strategy&, which would be used alongside the PwC name and brand.

Commenting on the acquisition, PwC International chairperson Dennis Nally said the transaction signified an important step for PwC, its clients and stakeholders.

“Businesses are navigating unprecedented, disruptive threats and organisations increasingly want the right strategy and the ability to execute it.

“Together, PwC and Strategy& will meet this need – delivering superior value to our clients and stakeholders, attracting premium talent and helping businesses around the world build their capabilities on a global scale,” he noted.

PwC Strategy&’s board of directors would be chaired by PwC partner and global consulting leader Tony Poulter, while incoming Booz & Company CEO Cesare Mainardi would adopt the role of Strategy& CEO.
