Production crimper integrates technology

Font size: - +

A compact industrial production crimper, with an integrated power unit, has been introduced. The crimper’s large opening stroke and use of long master dies allows for the crimping of all types of fittings and hoses.

The UNIFLEX HM 480 offers an opening stroke of more than 150 mm and an opening diameter of 380 mm (without dies). It can be used to crimp industrial hoses of up to 8" with American National Standards Institute or ANSI flanges and pipe fittings of up to 12", without having to remove the dies. There is a fixed 6-o'clock die and a 150 mm long bottom die to facilitate workpiece positioning.

Apart from hydraulic hoses, the machine can be used to join reinforcing steel, steel cables, ropes and insulators with forces of up to 4500 kN.

The machine’s optimised hydraulic system is designed to save electricity and its greaseless feature improves cleanliness and increases its lifetime. The HM 480 is controlled through the UNIFLEX Control C.2 control unit.
