With four months to go before the beginning of the trade fair it is clear that IFAT Africa is proving to be relevant to many exhibitors. Close to 100 companies have already registered for the environmental technology trade fair in South Africa in 2017. IFAT Africa will be held at the Johannesburg Expo Centre from September 12 to 14, 2017.

The interest of companies underscores the importance of the trade fair’s product categories – Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling – for the African market. Companies participating include both local and international key players such as Averda, Bovu Fluid Holdings, C.R.I. Pumps S.A., Endress+Hauser, Grundfos, KSB Pumps & Valves, Memcon, NETZSCH Southern Africa, Ritz Pumps South Africa, Skip Truck Traders, Tecroveer, Wamechsi Group and Wilo Pumps S.A.

Graham Hartlett, Commercial Director at WEC Projects, is looking forward to this year’s trade fair attendance: “IFAT Africa allows us the opportunity to showcase our unique solutions and exclusive technologies for our clients in the water and sewage treatment sector. It is a fantastic platform for meaningful interactions with our clients.”

Philipp Past, Sales Manager at GLS Tanks International, will be present at IFAT Africa for the first time: “We regularly exhibit at the parent trade fair in Munich and now want to explore the African market. IFAT Africa is the ideal platform to achieve this. The IFAT brand stands for innovation, professionalism and promising business contacts.”

Joint pavilions are planned for companies from China, Germany, Great Britain, Italy (Piemont), the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. The organizers expect around 140 exhibitors on an exhibition area of approximately 5,200 square meters. Additional open-air grounds offer more space for larger exhibits.
