PLANT SPECS, Australia’s only comprehensive annual listing of earthmoving and road construction equipment – with a database of equipment specifications going back to the mid-1980s – will continue to deliver vital data to subscribers under a new management team.

Well-known in the industry, long-time advertising manager Michelle McDougall has taken over the reins from Informa Australia. Michelle, along with the same team which has produced PLANT SPECS for the past 15 years, will oversee the continuing publication of this iconic annual 240 plus-page catalogue of all types of earthmoving and road construction equipment and key accessories – and the online version. Michelle was National Sales Manager for the Earthmover & Civil Contractor magazine which ceased publication at the end of 2016.

PLANT SPECS was the annual January special edition of the magazine, and was eagerly awaited each year by the industry. It now takes on a new life of its own, as the renamed Plant Specs Australia.

“Since the mid 1980s, PLANT SPECS has been a unique and vital resource for the industry,” says Michelle. “And our online offering allows subscribers to search and compare specifications for hundreds of thousands of earthmoving equipment makes and models sold in Australia over the past 30 plus years.

“Under our new management team, we are determined not only to maintain its high standards, but also to further expand the range of information available to subscribers. ”Currently listed manufacturers and suppliers should be aware that the 2018 edition of PLANT SPECS is now being compiled, and we will shortly be sending out the update forms.
“Please be sure to return your completed forms to Plant Specs Australia as soon as possible after you receive them,” she says.

“I would also like to ask any distributors who do don’t currently have relevant equipment listed in PLANT SPECS to contact me immediately.” Equipment covered in Plant Specs Australia includes: attachments; backhoe/loaders; dozers, crawler loaders, graders; dump trucks, scrapers; excavators; loaders; compaction/road construction equipment; skidsteers , site handling machines and digital accessories.
