Paltech, a leading manufacturer and supplier of advanced valve solutions in South Africa, is proud to announce its appointment as the official distributor for Meson Group in South Africa and select African countries. This strategic partnership will significantly expand Paltech's product offering, particularly within the maritime industry, and marks another major milestone for the company following its maritime certification achievements.

Paltech, a member of the Two Roads Group (2Roads), has established itself as a pioneer in the South African valve industry, being the first local company to attain maritime certifications from both Bureau Veritas and Lloyds. This achievement signifies Paltech's commitment to delivering the highest quality solutions for demanding marine applications. The new partnership with Meson Group, a renowned Swedish manufacturer known for its exceptional quality and innovation, further strengthens Paltech's value proposition.

"We are incredibly excited to partner with Meson Group," says Pierre de la Guerre, Technical Executive for 2Roads. "This agreement allows us to offer an even wider range of advanced valve solutions to our clients, particularly in the maritime sector. Meson's commitment to quality perfectly aligns with our own, and we are confident that this partnership will be instrumental in our continued growth locally and internationally."

The expanded product portfolio resulting from this agreement will enable Paltech to cater to a broader range of client needs, offering holistic valve solutions across various industries. This strategic collaboration represents a significant step forward for Paltech, solidifying its position as a leading provider of advanced valve solutions in South Africa and beyond.

Key benefits of this partnership include:

  • Expanded product offering: Paltech will gain access to Meson's extensive portfolio of high-quality valves, actuators, and controls, enabling them to service a wider range of clients and applications, with a local presence.
  • Enhanced maritime expertise: This agreement strengthens Paltech's position within the maritime industry, leveraging Meson's proven track record in marine solutions.

Synergy in quality: Both companies prioritise quality, ensuring that clients receive exceptional products and services.

Fulfilling Partnership Commitments and Boosting the Sector

The introduction of Paltech to the Meson Group was facilitated by Damen Shipyards South Africa. This is significant as it underscores their commitment to their partnership agreement with the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) as well as Armscor. The National Industrial Participation (NIP) and Defence Industrial Participation (DIP) programmes are key initiatives within these partnerships, aiming to boost local content, technology transfer and facilitate export opportunities within the shipbuilding industry. By initiating the Paltech and Meson introduction and supporting the outcomes thereof, Damen continues its commitment towards these programmes, fostering collaboration and growth within the sector.
