Project Description
The project involves the refurbishment of four dilapidated schools – Dilizintaba Senior Secondary School, in Tsolo; Plangeni Junior Secondary School, in Mbizana; and Flagstaff Primary School and Flagstaff High School – in the OR Tambo district municipality in the former Transkei homeland of the Eastern Cape.

Value
The ECDC has injected R195-million into the project.

These funds are part of an initial R300-million allocation from the provincial government towards the implementation of the Integrated Social Infrastructure Delivery Programme.

Dilizintaba Senior Secondary School is expected to cost about R53-million, Plangeni Junior Secondary School R52.3-million,

Flagstaff Primary School R38-million and Flagstaff High School R51-million.

Duration
Dilizintaba Senior Secondary School is expected to be completed in February 2017, Plangeni Junior Secondary School in April 2017 and the Flagstaff primary and high schools are expected to be completed in January 2017.
