November manufacturing output up 1.7% y/y

South Africa's manufacturing output rose 1.7% year-on-year in November, after rising by a revised 2.3% in October, Statistics South Africa said on Thursday.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast manufacturing volumes would rise by 0.45% year-on-year in November.

Factory production on a month-on-month basis was up 0.9% and rose 0.5% in the three months to November compared with the previous three months.
