With its newly established ‘standalone’ status, pneumatics company Aventics says it plans to expand into new sectors that have not previously been its focus, including the heavy-duty and medical technology industries.

Officially operating as a standalone company since the beginning of this year after breaking away from industrial pneumatics manufacturer Bosch Rexroth, Aventics chief sales officer Dr Alexander Lawrence says the company is re-establishing itself within the pneumatics industry to define the next generation of pneumatics.

Currently supplying the food and beverage, electronics, industrial machinery, metals, mining and minerals and the automotive industries, Aventics plans to use its position as a standalone company to react fast to changes in the market, with its main focus on customer orientation, based on expert technical contacts and effective customer service.

“The emergence of the standalone Aventics will afford the entity greater autonomy in a more streamlined product development environment,” says Lawrence, pointing out that another advantage of the corporate’s reorganisation will be improved quality of consulting.

Lawrence mentions that being able to communicate more directly and engagingly with its customers – the majority of which are also medium-size companies – means that turnaround times in product delivery will also be positively affected.

During the Hannover Messe 2014, in Germany, last month, Aventics used the fair as a platform to present its products as well as its new brand as a standalone company at its stand.

“Many visitors at our stand praised the company’s clear specialisation in pneumatics, in particular. “At the same time, we were able to demonstrate that we have not simply created a modern, new brand, but that we offer our customers concrete advantages with our products and services,” he highlights.

The company showcased its AV valve series with its valve components arranged diagonally in the housing of the series, as well as pneumatic cylinders with adjustable cushioning. The company points out that the showcasing of such products shows how research and development at Aventics is closely linked to industry requirements.

“For Aventics, polymer technology, miniaturisation and lightweight designs are not the final goal but a means to provide customers with a multitude of benefits,” explains Lawrence.

Aventics offers its customers tailored, cross-industry system solutions and services based on the experience gained while operating under Bosch Rexroth. Aventics will also be supplying drive and control solutions for the marine industry and commercial vehicles sector and also inverted conveyor chains for the glass and automotive industries.
