New Konecranes Branch In Richards Bay

Company Announcement - One of the biggest crane and hoist companies in the world, Konecranes, recently opened a branch in Dollar Drive in Richards Bay. Konecranes was established in Finland over 100 years ago and now serves a broad range of customers on 54 countries, including manufacturing and process industries, shipyards, ports and terminals. Konecranes provides productivity-enhancing lifting solutions as well as servicing for cranes and hoists of all makes.

“Konecranes manufactures a wide range of cranes and hoists, ranging from 2000 ton Goliath cranes to compact manual chains hoists”, says John MacDonald, Service, Sales and Marketing Director of Konecranes Southern Africa. “In addition service and maintenance are a very big priority for us and we have on-site service teams on 24-hour standby at all our branches”.

Konecranes now have ten branches around Southern Africa, in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Cape Town, Witbank, Klerksdorp and Ngodwana, Uitenhage, Maputo and Richards Bay. More branches are planned. “We have appointed a highly experienced and competent team in Richards Bay”, MacDonald concluded. “We wish them every success in servicing our clients in the region”.
