For Cynthia, who was previously a.b.e's Regional Manager in the Eastern Cape,  the appointment has taken her back to her roots as she started her career at a.b.e. in Bloemfontein as Resellers Consultant 16 years ago,  marketing the company's  products to hardware stores and builders merchants in the Free State, Northern Cape and Lesotho.

During her service spell in Port Elizabeth that followed three years later, she gained valuable experience of concrete durability and repairwork in a corrosive area and about the varied challenges of coastal waterproofing. Cynthia  was also involved in supplying a.b.e. products for the construction of the Nelson Mandela Soccer Stadium for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, among other notable infrastructural projects.

After seven years in Port Elizabeth, Cynthia has now moved back north to head a.b.e. operations in the Free State following a company restructure.
