KBAC Flooring, sole South African distributor of the world’s leading modular flooring manufacturer, Interface, has locally launched the new Interface Employ Loop and Lines ranges which have been hailed overseas for their unlimited creative design options in commercial installations.

Lesley Fidrmuc, Interface Consultant at KBAC, says the two new Employ styles work in unison to offer exceptional flexibility and affordability for commercial flooring.

“Employ has two coordinating designs and a range of neutral and bright colours. The design team at Interface extracted and analysed current and projected future interior design trends to develop the new product ranges which feature an innovative variation of colours, transitions, organic and graphic lines,” Lesley states. Available in 50cm x 50cm tiles, the Loop and Lines ranges are easy to mix-and-match to create attractive flooring solution. The collection is also available for quick delivery which is ideal for projects with short deadlines. KBAC will be stocking a selected range of the most popular colours.

Employ Loop has a level surface and offers exceptional wall-to-wall possibilities with a mixture of neutral grey and brown shades as well as brighter colours providing striking transition between bright, bold and neutral colours.

Employ Lines has a strong linear pattern, suitable for non-directional or monolithic installations.  “This non-directional feature limits installation waste to just 1 or 2%. The Interface carbon offsetting initiative, Cool Carpet, incorporates the two new ranges. In terms of the Cool Carpet environmental programme, Interface calculates Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions for the entire lifecycle of the company’s products and then invests in verified emission reduction projects to offset the harmful emissions,” Lesley explains.

Furthermore, in line with Interface’s Mission Zero pledge to have zero negative impact on the environment by 2020, Employ Loop and Employ Lines ranges are made with 47% recycled content and 100% renewable energy. “These credentials make it the most sustainable carpet tile offering currently on the market today,” she adds.

Speaking at the European launch of the Employ Loop and Employ Lines recently, Mandy Leeming, Design and Development Manager for Interface Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said:

“Designers and property owners today increasingly seek versatile, flexible design and colour options at an affordable price. The Employ Loop and Employ Lines ranges deliver on both counts. The variation of colour and pattern combinations ensures that commercial buildings can be unique and aesthetically pleasing, while keeping cost to a minimum.”
