Project Description
The project is a perpetual build, own and operate agreement, and involves the construction of the 433 MW Namakhvani project, which comprises two new powerhouses – Namakhvani (333 MW) and Tvishi (100 MW), which will have estimated production rates of 1 171 GWh/y and 343 GWh/y respectively.

The Namakhvani dam will be 100 m high and the Tvishi dam 59 m high, and will have gross heads of 105 m and 33 m respectively.

The Namakhvani will feature 3+1 Francis turbines and Tvishi will feature two Kaplan turbines. Namakhvani will have a maximum discharge of 339 m³ and Tvishi 336 m³.
