Telecommunications group MTN expects its basic headline earnings a share (HEPS) for the first half of this year to be between 1,5% and 6,5% higher than that of the first half of 2009.
Adjusted HEPS were expected to be between 18,1% and 23,1% higher than that of the first six months of last year, while attributable earnings a share for the six months were likely to be between 4,8% and 9,8% higher than the year before.
In the six months ended June 30, 2009, the group reported basic HEPS of 415,5c a share, adjusted HEPS of 363,8c a share and attributable earnings a share of 409,7c a share.
MTN’s 2010 interim results would be released on Thursday.
