Telecommunications giant MTN South Africa CEO Zunaid Bulbulia has been appointed group chief operating executive, effective immediately, the company announced on Thursday.

Former MTN Nigeria CEO Ahmad Farroukh would take up the role of CEO of MTN South Africa.

This was in line with MTN’s strategy of regularly rotating key talent within the business, group president and CEO Sifiso Dabengwa said in a statement.

“In order to respond adequately to challenges and opportunities in our markets, we continue to take appropriate steps to enhance our competitive position, and to ensure the long-term sustainability of our business,” he explained.
