Aim- and JSE-listed Mondi on Monday increased the price of its public tender offer for a 34% interest in Polish paper manufacturer Mondi Swiecie to €295-million.
The company said that it increased the price to €17.34 a share, up from €16.62 a share in February. This represented a premium of 4.3% over the initial offer and a premium of 2.9% over the closing price on March 30.
This acquisition would bring Mondi Swiecie into the full ownership of the Mondi group, streamlining its corporate structure.
The transaction was expected to be complete by mid-April 2012.
The terms of the offer have remained the same.
