Moheshkhali floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) terminal project.

The project will be located about 2.4 km off the shore of Sonadia Island, in Bangladesh.

Client
Exelerate Energy Bangladesh; Bangladesh Oil Gas & Mineral Corporation, and the Bangladesh government.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of an FLNG terminal, which will include the delivery of one of Excelerate’s existing floating storage and regasification units (FSRU), the Excellence, and the installation of a turret-loading buoy anchored offshore, a flexible riser, a pipeline end manifold and a 7.5 km subsea pipeline with a final tie-in connection at the delivery point.

The FSRU will have a 138 000 m3 LNG storage capacity and a base regasification capacity of 500-million standard cubic feet a day.

LNG carriers will deliver LNG to the terminal about every five days at a rated send out of 500-million standard cubic feet a day.

LNG will be vapourised using open-loop shell-and-tube vapourisers.
