The growth in mobile-powered businesses has seen a related increase in security risks such as spyware, phishing and ransomware.

Future-ready attack protection provider Cybereason says the exponential increase in mobile devices and apps has led to an ever-evolving attack surface, with access to enterprise assets through mobile devices.

“Organisations must increase mobile security measures to reduce the attack surface and improve visibility whilst protecting sensitive organisational data and the data security of employees,”  says Cybereason regional sales director: Africa Brandon Rochat.

The recently launched Cybereason Mobile Threat Defense (MTD), powered by Zimperium, is described as a privacy-first solution that provides comprehensive mobile security for all organisations, designed to protect users and data when working on corporate-owned and/or personal devices.

The solution’s on-device detection is designed to evaluate the risk posture of a user’s device and secure the enterprise against threats. With a privacy-by-design approach, Cybereason MTD provides customisable user settings and insight into the data that is collected and used for threat intelligence.

Built with advanced threat security in mind, the solution aims to meet the mobile security needs of enterprises providing protection against the four main mobile threats, namely phishing attacks, network attacks, malicious apps and device attacks.

The solution enables customers to improve visibility and compliance of all endpoints across the organisation beyond the Windows, MacOS and Linux devices, to iOS, Android and ChromeOS devices, reducing the overall risk from security threats and associated vulnerabilities.

Cybereason MTD is designed to allow users to work on any device in any location safely, while protecting the organisation’s infrastructure and private data from high-risk apps and jailbreaks.
