Metalicity launches Admiral Bay scoping study
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Metalicity has launched a scoping study into its Admiral Bay zinc project, in Western Australia.
The company, previously known as PLD Corporation, has made a number of appointments, including a project management consultant and a new exploration manager to oversee exploration on both the Admiral Bay and Rock Gully projects.
“Metalicity has made some world-class management appointments to the Admiral Bay zinc project evaluation process and, along with our largest shareholders Resource Capital Funds and study team SRK and CSA, we look forward to some positive results from the scoping study,” Metalicity MD Matt Gauci said on Tuesday.
The company has started a compilation of a maiden three-dimensional geological model for the Admiral Bay project, and initial exploration work was expected to focus on structural interpretation, a reassessment of the current resource estimate, and the reprocessing of historic two-dimensional seismic data.
The Admiral Bay project is estimated to host about 72-million tonnes, grading 5.4% zinc equivalent for 4.31-million tonnes of contained zinc and lead.
