US-headquartered Martin Engineering has been in operation since 1944, supplying conveyor products and flow aids across the globe to a variety of industries, including mining, coal handling, cement, aggregates, biomass, grain and others.

Besides the US headquarters, the company has subsidiaries in Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey and the UK that engage in manufacturing, sales and service activities. Martin Engineering also has an exclusive licence agreement with ESS Australia.

The company’s product range includes belt cleaners, transfer- point solutions and flow aids. It also undertakes servicing and silo cleaning and provides Foundations training.

The South African branch, located in Die Heuwel, in Witbank, Mpumalanga, was established in 2003, when Martin Engineering bought out Scorpio Conveyor Products.

The main equipment in the South African subsidiary’s factory are a 3.2 kW laser-cutting machine, a 180 kN break press, welding bays, a sandblasting facility, a powder-coating booth and a polyurethane machine.

Martin Engineering South Africa is ISO 14001:2004-, ISO 9001:2008- and OHSAS 18001:2007-accredited.
