Project Description
The proposed project entails the construction and operation of a 500 kV ac international power line (IPL) extending from Manitoba Hydro’s Dorsey converter station, in Manitoba, Canada, to the international boundary between Manitoba and Minnesota (Dorsey IPL), in the US. The Dorsey IPL will connect with the Great Northern transmission line, a new 500 kV transmission line in the US.

The transmission line will be 213 km long, of which about 92 km is located within existing transmission line corridors. The remaining 121 km requires a new right-of-way.
