Gauteng Premier David Makhura will receive a report from the e-toll review advisory panel on November 30, the provincial government said on Thursday.

The media was invited to attend the hand over which would take place in Parktown, Johannesburg, spokesperson Mohlalefi Lebotha said in a statement.

Makhura said the provincial government appreciated the work done by the panel.

"We are also delighted that as per the commitment, the report will be presented to us within the agreed timeframe," he said.

Makhura established the review panel to examine the economic and social impact of the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project and the electronic tolling system set up to fund it.

The panel has received numerous submissions from the public, various non-governmental organisations, and political parties.

The e-tolling system has been largely rejected, with many calling for it to be scrapped.
