Milwaukee  (0.05 MB)

Milwaukee, Ludman Industries, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is proud to introduce a new - smaller size - modern style flaking mill with 10-inch diameter rolls. This new design is based on best in class features from previous Ludman flaking mills and uses an all integrated approach, where drives, chutes and guards are included on one common base which enables a very simple installation for the client.

This flaking mill is designed for 80,000 pounds of continuous pressing force and utilizes state of the art electro-hydraulic roll gap positioning. Included with the flaking mill is a specifically built hydraulic power unit and advanced roll gap control panel. The control panel incorporates a simple but feature rich 10-inch color touch screen to control all functions of the hydraulic gap control. The human machine interface includes interfaces for operational modes, calibration, diagnostics, set-up, data trends, parameters, and alarm management. The electro-hydraulic positioning cylinders can accurately control roll gap within 0.001-inches. By utilizing an automated gap control system, it is easy and quick to change the roll gap and therefore create recipes based on product being processed. In addition to gap control, the actuators accurately monitor the pressing force which can also be used to increase product quality. All data can be sent back to plant control system via an Ethernet IP connection.

The flaking mill was designed for simplicity, robustness, small size, and reliability. The flaking mill can also easily be designed for an explosion proof environment. Ludman Industries at 4810 North 124th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, founded in 1968, is a global manufacturer of Compactors, Briquetters, Granulators and Flaking & Shredding Mills. Providing complete agglomeration process solutions from testing, design and production through distribution to customer support. Forging innovation, building quality, Ludman Industries is a world leader in the mining, wastewater treatment, farming, chemical and food industries.
