Company Announcement - • Dorothee Bär invites nomination committee for Logistics Hall of Fame to Federal Transport Ministry in Berlin.
• Ten finalists from Germany, Finland, France, Austria, Switzerland and USA nominated.

The finalists for election to the Logistics Hall of Fame have now been decided. At a meeting of the nomination committee last Tuesday at the Federal Transport Ministry, the committee nominated ten individuals from Germany, Finland, France, Austria, Switzerland and the USA out of a total of 31 proposals. Only the jury has access to the list of candidates, and this list serves as a recommendation to the 46 experts from all fields of logistics who will elect the new member of the Logistics Hall of Fame in the summer.

In October, the Logistics Hall of Fame will announce the name of the leading figure who is to be inducted into the logistics pantheon. The official induction ceremony traditionally takes place during a reception at the Federal Transport Ministry.

The aim of the Logistics Hall of Fame is to document key milestones in logistics and honour the people behind them, in order to underline the performance capability of logistics and to improve the image of logistics. The initiative is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Transport as well as the relevant sector associations, media and companies, including the Port of Duisburg (duisport), logistics insurer Kravag, the Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone company, intralogistics provider Still, the Federal Central Cooperative for Road Transport (SVG) and the TimoCom freight exchange.
