Deltek, the leading global provider of enterprise software and information solutions for project-based businesses, announced today that CKR Consulting Engineers is partnering with Silversoft to implement Deltek Project Information Management (PIM), the industry’s leading enterprise information management system.

CKR’s goal is to simplify document and email management processes to eradicate duplication; streamline file sharing and workflows to make project teams more efficient and reduce wasted time required by manual document management; and mitigate risk by centralizing critical project information and communication, which promotes transparency and accountability.

CKR provides engineering excellence for the likes of KPMG, Woolworths, JSE, Dimension Data, Southern Sun, Tsogo Sun, Redefine, Old Mutual, Google and other key commercial clients – a selection of South Africa’s crème de la crème when it comes to their ever growing client list.  Not surprisingly, the firm is a leading engineering consultancy focused on electrical, electronic, information technology, mechanical and wet services for property development and building services industry.

CKR has been a Silversoft client since 2012 and was one of the first firms in South Africa to implement Deltek Project ERP. Half a decade later, continued growth across the firm has meant that CKR is taking on larger and more prestigious projects.

The firm recognised that new developments in the tech sphere, increased cyber risk, and the need for more efficient documentation processes called for stronger management of its documents, emails, drawings and site-based work.

As CKR worked with Silversoft during its evaluation process, the company confirmed that Deltek’s Project Information Management (PIM) will not only meet the firm’s requirements, but will quickly become an integral tool in CKR’s digital document lifecycle. Deltek PIM will provide the standardisation and consistency needed for business efficiency, risk management, and project delivery – which are all critical in engineering firms.

“This implementation is going to provide an all-in-one, rinse and repeat solution that will allow the viewing and sharing of company and project documents, emails and drawings across our entire firm, including our mobile staff and third parties where required,” concludes Leopoldo Gambale, CFO at CKR Group.

“As CKR grows and its projects increase in volume and size, the company has an increasing need to manage governance, compliance and risk around all of the project data that is created throughout an engagement,” explains Claus Thorsgaard, EVP of Sales at Deltek. “CKR needs to be able to access the right information at the right time as projects are managed, which includes the ability to access data through mobile devices while on-site.”
