Project Description
The solar park is currently the biggest solar photovoltaic facility in Brazil and comprises the 80 MW Bom Jesus da Lapa and the 78 MW Lapa solar parks.
The park can generate almost 340 GWh/y, enough to meet the yearly energy consumption needs of more than 166 000 Brazilian households, while avoiding the emission of about 198 000 t of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
The solar park will be supported by 20-year supply contracts that provide for the sale of specified volumes of energy generated by the plants to the Brazilian Chamber of Commercialisation of Electric Energy.
