With the impending January 15 deadline looming, the Department of Labour (DoL) on Monday urged employers to file their employment equity (EE) online reports.

The 2017 EE online and manual reporting season opened on September 1, and while the manual reporting submissions closed on October 1, online submissions remain open until January 15.

“The reporting season was preceded by a series of national roadshows held by the DoL’s EE Directorate, in which the department sought to encourage and create awareness on compliance with the EE Act, publicise and help prepare the employers with the requirements needed to be used when submitting their online 2017 EE reports to the department,” the DoL said in a statement on Monday.
