KZN distribution deal enhances electrical company’s reach
Electrical solutions company Magnet has been appointed the official distributor in KwaZulu-Natal of international electric and electronic equipment manu-facturer Mitsubishi Electric’s factory automation products.
Optimum ProductivityAs part of the deal, Magnet will be the KwaZulu-Natal distributor and partner of Mitsubishi Electric and provide after-sales support for the products, which are designed for optimum productivity on the factory floor.
Mitsubishi Electric’s factory automation products range, which includes automation and processing technologies, will enhance Magnet’s range of electrical equipment, industrial instrumentation and automation systems, says Magnet MD Brian Howarth.
“The addition of Mitsubishi Electric’s factory automation products will extend Magnet’s service to a broader customer base that includes automotive manufacturing, sugar mills, water and waste water, chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as general engineering,” he adds.
Mitsubishi Electric will provide support and ongoing training for Magnet staff regarding the product range.
Magnet’s group companies will also distribute Mitsubishi Electric’s factory automation products.
With this distribution deal, the company hopes to secure more market share and improve on energy efficiency through product use, says Magnet electrical supplies sales manager Kumaran Naidoo.
The new Mitsubishi Electric factory automation products available from Magnet in KwaZulu-Natal include the Q-series modular programmable logic controllers, the F-series compact programmable logic controllers and variable-speed drives.
Magnet will support this range with a technical advisory, installation and maintenance ser-vice throughout the province.
