Project Description
The Khotsong TB hospital will benefit from an upgrade and a new hospital, as part of the Department of Health’s three-year infrastructure programme to deal with deficient facilities across the province.

The project includes the conversion of the paediatric wards into administration offices and the demolition of some of the existing structures to make way for the new hospital.

The project will be completed in two phases.
Phase 1 will result in the rehabilitation and conversion of existing structures – the paediatric ward, the administration block and ablution rooms – the erection of new security fencing and the construction of new security control infrastructure.

Phase 2 will encompass the construction of a 120-bed hospital, with general TB and multiple drug-resistant TB wards, which includes the demolition of condemned existing structures.

The project will take about three years to complete.
