After the K 2016, Collin will start the next big project - new construction of the parent company at a new location, not far from the existing headquarters in Germany.

Due to the very positive cooperation with the municipality and the former owners, a 25,000 spm plot in the German city of Maitenbeth could be found. In the first phase, in the coming months, on 15,000 sqm, 4000 sqm Collin manufacturing area and 2300 sqm office space will be built. In spring, the ground-breaking ceremony will take place, the construction is planned for the next eight to nine months. “The relocation is planned for the end of 2017“, says DI Dr. Friedrich Kastner, CEO Collin.

“The main reason for the new construction is that at our current location, we are running out of space. There are neither expansion options for the existing company building nor the option to buy a neighbouring plot since there is no open land left. Furthermore, the building stock is out of date. Therefore, this decision was absolutely necessary“, explains Kastner.

„In the new premises, our customers and employees should feel comfortable. Thus, our team does not only have more space in production and administration. Together, all internal processes have been analysed in order to create an optimal structure, which will help us to manufacture our products in best quality and with short delivery times.  Also the Collin technical centre, the test laboratory and our R&D will get more space. Finally, we will be able to show even more out of our range of products to our customers“, says Kastner.

“With the new location, also in future, we are perfectly prepared and regarding space, we are more flexible“, gladly explains Kastner.
