Name and Location
Jurong Lake district residential complex, Singapore.

Client
United Venture Development, a joint venture between UOL Venture Investments and Singland Homes.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of two condominium complexes, comprising two 140 m 40-storey tower blocks, which will provide 505 apartments with an estimated floor area of 46 000 m2.

A modular construction system based on a reinforced concrete structure has been proposed. This will enable the condominiums to meet the Singapore authorities’ requirements that 65% of the superstructure of the towers must employ prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC). PPVC requires that free-standing volumetric modules (complete with finishes for walls, floors and ceilings) are built and assembled, or manufactured and assembled, in an accredited fabrication facility, in accordance with any accredited fabrication method, and then installed in a building under building works. In total, about 1 900 modules will be installed, using large-capacity tower cranes.

Value
€100-million.

Duration
The project will be handed over at the end of the first half of 2019.

Dragages Singapore, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, has been awarded the construction contract for the residential complex.
