From power tools to angle grinders, drills, cutting discs, and even lighting systems, contractor Jag Civils from Boksburg, Gauteng uses Milwaukee products to give its food-and-beverage customers a complete solution. The family-owned business was established over 30 years ago, and provides its services to customers as diverse as Bull Brand, Enterprise, Pick n Pay, and the Rhodes Food Group.

Owner Inx Jordaan explains that Jag Civils specialises in insulated structures for refrigeration purposes, drainage systems, and even floor epoxies, as well as general plumbing and maintenance. Recent flagship projects include work at Enterprise’s Germiston and Polokwane factories, where it was critical to reduce downtime so that productivity remained unaffected. This is where the reliability and quality of the Milwaukee power tool product range, distributed locally by Upat, proved essential.

Upat Technical Sales Representative, Brendan Grobbelaar highlights that Jag Civils has been a loyal Upat customer since 2006. He attributes the success of this long-standing relationship to the excellent customer support and aftermarket service offered by Upat, in conjunction with the quality of the Milwaukee product range itself.

“Given the Blue Chip clients that Jag Civils has on its books, it is critical for Upat to deliver the best service possible, and therefore we need the best possible tools,” Grobbelaar comments. “The specialised power tools from Milwaukee allow the company to complete its projects with optimal ease and efficiency, which definitely gives it a leading edge in the industry over its competitors.”

Grobbelaar points out that Jag Civils was a first-adopter of Milwaukee when Upat originally started supplying the brand to the construction industry. “As new and improved tools have been launched, so has the company moved with the times in order to stay abreast of the latest technology and developments.”

In addition, Upat provides on-site training on the full Milwaukee range supplied to Jag Civils. “We are just a phone call away in the event of any issue arising on-site. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the best back-up in the industry, which gives our clients peace of mind that not only will their projects be completed on-time, but that we will always go the extra mile,” Grobbelaar stresses.

Jordaan concludes that it is this exemplary support that distinguishes Upat, in addition to its premium brands such as Milwaukee power tools, fischer fixing systems, and Stabila measuring equipment.
