East Rand-based Ithuba Valves & Industrial Supplies is involved in the design, manufacture, refurbishment, installation and supply of waterworks valves and ancillary products.

These include wedge gate valves, reflux nonreturn valves, butterfly valves, sleeve valves and hoods.
Ithuba Valves, which was incorporated in January 2000 but started operations in August 2003, is 80% black-owned and currently enjoys

Level 2 broad-based black economic empowerment status. It employs 41 people.

The company has a 2 270 m2 factory at 8 Basalt street, in the Alrode Extension 7 area of Alberton.

The ISO 9001:2008- and SABS 1551:2008-accredited company uses locally cast components and also receives its stainless steel from a South Africa-based supplier. Imported inputs are used only where these are not available locally.
