Project Description
The project involves the widening of a 28.1 km stretch of the Istra motorway to four lanes.

Following phases 1A, 1B and 2A, Phase 2B1 will cover the upgrading of the stretch between Rogovi´ci, in the west of the peninsula, and Vranja, in the east, turning it into a four-lane dual carriageway toll road.

The new stretch of the motorway includes the construction of 11 viaducts.

Duration
Works on the first 11.6 km section, between Rogovi´ci and Cerovlje, started in November 2018 and are due to be completed in November 2020.

Works on the 16.5 km section from Cerovlje to Vranja, along with the construction of a rest area, will begin in November 2019, with handover set for November 2021.

Latest Developments
Bouygues Travaux Publics, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, has been awarded the contract for Phase 2B1 of the project.
