Spanish EPC in the Oil & Gas sector implements AVEVA Electrical to gain greater efficiency across all of its projects
Initec Plantas Industriales, the principal subsidiary for Oil & Gas projects of Tecnicas Reunidas, has successfully deployed the AVEVA Electrical software on all of its projects.Initec chose AVEVA Electrical for its advanced capabilities, as well as for the long and trusted relationship the company has had with AVEVA. AVEVA’s high-quality configuration and support services, provided during a pilot deployment of the software, proved a decisive factor in Initec’s decision to roll out AVEVA Electrical on all its major capital projects.
“We wanted to eliminate inconsistencies between related engineering documents and to reduce the high number of design revisions,” said David Casado Ruiz, Electrical Manager, Initec Plantas Industriales. “We selected AVEVA Electrical because its user-friendly interface is designed specifically for engineers. You don’t have to be an ITspecialist to use it. Because AVEVA Electrical is open and configurable, wewere able to import data from spreadsheets and match the output formats with our existing engineering deliverables. But the most significant benefit from using AVEVA Electrical is the time wehave saved issuing deliverables, such as interconnecting drawings and cabledrum lists. We estimate the time reduction at 40%. We are now implementing AVEVA Electrical in all of our projects.”
“We are proud of the trust Initec has placed in us by using AVEVA Electrical on such high-profile projects so quickly after its deployment,” said Fredy Ktourza, Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales, AVEVA. “Initec had tried other vendors’ solutions, but found them difficult to configure and customise. We were also able to ensure a successful deployment at Initec through our training, configuration and technical set-up support, which are important parts of our customer service. AVEVA Electrical will help Initec maintain its competitive edge through increased productivity and by providing its customers with higher quality deliverables.”
