JSE-listed Imperial Holdings on Friday announced structural changes within the group that will result in the creation of two integrated divisions dedicated exclusively to logistics and vehicles.

From July 1, the group’s entire logistics interests, including Imperial Logistics South Africa, Imperial Logistics Rest of Africa and Imperial Logistics International, would be managed as one division.

Imperial Logistics Africa CEO Marius Swanepoel would be CEO of the new logistics division.

Further, as of July 1, all of Imperial’s vehicle interests, including vehicle import distribution and dealerships; vehicle retail rental and aftermarket parts; and motor-related financial services, would be managed as one division.

Imperial CEO Mark Lamberti would, from July 1 to December 31, be executive chairperson of the vehicles division, leading and prioritising the necessary integration initiatives.

Imperial CFO Osman Arbee would take over as CEO of the division from January 1, 2017.

Imperial Logistics Rest of Africa CEO Mohammed Akoojee would succeed Arbee as group CFO from April 1, 2017.
