ID Logistics SA  (0.04 MB)

Company Announcement - Following a successful launch of their Atlas warehouse in Boksburg recently, ID Logistics SA, part of global contract logistics’ company, announced that they are providing logistics’ solutions for Patleys and Mighty Meats, increasing their client base across the country. Operating in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo, Patleys has grown to become a leader in the marketing and distribution of local and imported quality brands. The company’s continuous growth resulted in a need to meet chilled distribution quality requirements, which compelled it to look for a company that could provide a solution. In May this year, Patleys appointed ID Logistics to provide end-to-end cold chain distribution collections from its distribution centres, multi-cross dock activities and last mile distribution.

During August this year, Mighty Meats, one of the largest preparers of a range of processed halaal meats in South Africa, appointed ID Logistics to handle their distribution capacity to cope with their strong sales growth. ID Logistics provides the company with an evolutionary end-to-end cold chain solution from last mile distribution to a fully integrated distribution and warehousing solution. Mighty Meats operates in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng with prospects of building a nationwide footprint.

Etienne Juillard, Managing Director at ID Logistics SA, comments: “It has been part of our growth strategy in South Africa to extend our network, which we started in 2012 to support  Danone, to other companies in the region. Our sophisticated and advanced logistics’ solution meets the criteria for both Patleys and Might Meats’ current and future expansion programmes.” ID Logistics established its presence in South Africa in 2012, with the aim of implementing a new chilled and ambient distribution network to optimise Danone Southern Africa’s supply chain. Today, ID Logistics has a fully operational national footprint including regional distribution centres and an extensive secondary distribution network, together with managing the factory warehouse in Boksburg.
