Established in 1970, Hytec Holdings is responsible for the Group’s strategic and centralised functions. Hytec Holdings streamlines the Groups’ legal compliance, finance, marketing, training, human resources, information technology, property portfolio and international liaison operations with strategic management, all geared towards total operational efficiency. Hytec Holdings is strategically located near OR Tambo International Airport to support both local South African and sub-Saharan African operations. Hytec Holdings continues to guide the Group to new levels of success in Africa.

Afripower (Pty) Ltd, trading as Hytec, is Africa’s largest single-source supplier of hydraulic components and turnkey hydraulic systems, with branches throughout southern and sub-Saharan Africa. Hytec designs, manufactures, installs, services and repairs hydraulic solutions that vary from highly complex hydraulic systems to simple hydraulic components that are fit for purpose. Hytec is the only Bosch Rexroth Certified Service Centre of Competence outside of the Bosch Rexroth Group, and the only one in Africa.

Tectra Automation enables the Hytec Group to offer solutions that go beyond its strong hydraulic focus. Specialising in industrial and factory automation, Tectra Automation provides pneumatic, vacuum, electric drive and control, process valves and actuators, linear motion and assembly system technology across sub-Saharan Africa. Through its dedicated project team with extensive design capabilities, Tectra Automation is able to customise world-leading brands for African conditions, and is accredited by the Bosch Rexroth Group for the repair and testing of its range of electric drive and control products.
Hytec Fluid Technology (HFT)
Total fluid management for industrial and mobile markets
HFT is a specialist fluid company that provides Total Fluid Management solutions in both industrial and mobile markets. Offering fluid maintenance solutions and equipment, from filtration components to complex maintenance systems. It offers services and solutions to maintain mobile machines and industrial hydraulic installations. With a fully-fledged laboratory for in-house sampling and analysis of oils and fluids, HFT is able to evaluate, design and supply complete filtration solutions for mobile and process applications. HFT’s complete range of filtration products covers virtually all automotive filtration needs, specialising in customised service kits for construction, mining and trucking equipment. With a state-of-the-art testing facility, HFT is also an official hydraulic accumulator certification centre that provides conformity assessment, pressure testing and certification to ensure safer operations throughout sub-Saharan Africa

Hytec Engineering is the Group’s hydraulics cylinder company which offers in-house design, manufacture, repair, testing, service and maintenance of hydraulic cylinders in a single workshop. Hytec Engineering provides comprehensive cylinder solutions with extensive distribution and technical support to industrial and mobile markets throughout sub-Saharan Africa. The company boasts a state-of-the-art cylinder test bench to guarantee that cylinders are supplied according to OEM specification and ISO 9001-2000 standards. Hytec Engineering also offers a Service Exchange Programme to assist customers in maintaining a continuous production.
Hytec Services Africa (HSA)
Bringing the Hytec Group to sub-Saharan Africa
HSA brings the Group’s world-leading products, repairs and services to sub-Saharan Africa by establishing branches, distributors and resellers in strategic African countries. HSA supports the Groups’ sub-Saharan African growth strategy with operations in Angola, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Seychelles, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. HSA continues to expand the Group’s footprint as the largest fluid power and automation company in sub-Saharan Africa.
Managing the entire supply chain for the Group
HYSA is the procurement and distribution arm for all Group companies, managing the entire interlinking supply chain to ensure an effective and expeditious distribution network of the Group’s complete range of products to sub-Saharan Africa. As the central warehouse for all imported products, HYSA also provides an extensive support network to all branches, distributors and resellers in the region. HYSA’s logistical expertise allows Group companies to focus on their specialist activities.
