Huge Group lifts FY headline earnings 45%

The headline earnings a share of JSE-listed Huge Group increased by 45% year-on-year to 18.5c for the year ended February 29.

Revenue increased by 6% to R216.5-million, compared with R204.6-million in the prior period.

The group’s Huge Telecom division was its biggest revenue and profit generator.

Huge Group continued to grow its distribution capabilities aggressively. During the year under review, it increased its business partners by 30% from 425 to 552.

Gross margins after direct expenses increased from 40% to 41%.

Depreciation increased by 3.5% as a result of increased capital expenditure on router equipment, a direct result of increased sales activity.
