With the summer heat on our doorstep and electricity tariffs on the rise, now may be the best time to invest in a modern air conditioning unit that not only helps you and the family keep cool, but also keeps the electricity bill low. Conventional aircon units are often loud and inefficient energy guzzlers, but in recent years leading manufacturers like LG have changed this. Let’s take a closer look at what makes LG’s ArtCool Air Conditioners so cool and cost-effective.

The Dual Inverter Compressor

The key difference between non-inverter air conditioners and more energy-efficient modern ones often comes down to the compressor. LG’s ArtCool aircon units feature the latest evolution − a Dual Inverter Compressor. Unlike conventional motors with no variable speed and can only be turned on at full speed or completely off, an inverter can automatically adjust the compressor’s speed to maintain an exact temperature level.

Because the inverter can operate at a lower speed, LG’s ArtCool units can provide up to 60% energy savings on electricity bills and they operate more silently while heating or cooling at up to a 30% faster rate. Additionally, LG’s Artcool units last a lot longer due to the enhanced technology, which is why the compressors have a 10-year warranty.

Technology is getting smarter

Modern air conditioning units are not only becoming more energy efficient, but they’re also getting smarter and more connected to our daily lives. LG’s Smart ThinQ app allows you to connect your ArtCool unit to a smart device and control it from anywhere. This is especially convenient if you want to walk into a cool room after driving home from work or if you simply can’t seem to find your remote. The ThinQ app also allows you to check the aircon’s diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and find useful information about the unit directly from your smartphone.

More importantly, LG’s ArtCool units feature an Active Energy Control function that allows you to adjust energy consumption based on three options (80%, 60%, or 40%) to ensure precise control of your energy usage. With an energy-efficient inverter compressor and smarter control over energy consumption, the summer heat won’t make you break a sweat – or the bank.

Keep it cool

With a more energy-efficient Dual Inverter Compressor, faster cooling, Ioniser air purification, and Smart ThinQ capability, LG’s ArtCool Air Conditioning units are a perfect solution for keeping cool this summer without a surprise electricity bill. To find the right unit for your home or workspace, remember that a BTU of 9 000 is advised for a room size of 15−18m2, 12 000 for 20−25m2, 18 000 for 30−35m2, and 24 000 for 40m−45m2.
