Font size: - +

Pepper, the humanoid robot, gestures during a news conference prior to the Pepper World 2016 event, in Tokyo, Japan, which took place in late January. Developed by SoftBank, Pepper is able to read stories and express a mechanical-version human emotion. The company is also poised to open an application store, enabling business customers to download software in a bid to put the humanoid machines to work.
