Heavy unit for uncompromising compaction
This article has been supplied.
High demands are placed on machines for soil compaction. At Bauma, Wacker Neuson exhibited five new vibratory plates from the top performance segment, which not only meet all of the demands placed on them, but rather go one step further.
With the five new reversible vibratory plates, Wacker Neuson is expanding its range and now offers the largest selection of heavy vibratory plates on the market. Thanks to this variety, customers always receive exactly the machine that fits perfectly with the requirements on their construction site. With the center pole guided models DPU80 (80 kN centrifugal force) and DPU110 (110 kN), powerful universal vibratory plates will be available in the future that look good on any terrain. The DPU90 (90 kN), which is also center pole guided, is particularly well-suited for compaction of sandy soils due to its high frequency. The vibratory plates are intuitive to operate and built to be very sturdy. The center pole quick lowering, which can be actuated rapidly and easily by foot pedal, allows for compaction even under obstacles or in sheeting and bracings.
All three models score particularly well with their low hand-arm vibrations (HAV) and the high level of operator protection. The legally prescribed threshold of less than 2.5 m/s² is markedly undercut by all vibratory plates, and this without loss of performance. In this way, the best compaction results can be achieved without time restrictions, time-consuming documentation of working hours or health risks. This provides for additional economic efficiency.
Safety thanks to infra-red control
The remote-controlled vibratory plates DPU80r and DPU110r (r for remote control) have no hand-arm vibrations. The remote control takes place via an infra-red signal. If an obstacle appears that blocks the operator's view of his vibratory plate, the connection is interrupted and the machine comes to a standstill. This ensures maximum safety compared to radio remote controls. The infra-red remote control from Wacker Neuson was recently awarded with the EuroTest certificate for a particularly high level of safety. 2/...Wacker Neuson vibratory plates

Designed and developed for harsh jobsite day to day
The five new vibratory plates are particularly sturdy, powerful and have a high-powered and at the same time quiet engine. In addition, they are very easy and efficient to control, extremely compact and ideal for applications in trenches and in sheeting and bracings due to their slender and low design.
Operating comfort and functionality were crucial criteria in their design and development. That is why the operator panel offers many practical functions, ranging from various operating displays to a warming-up setting for the engine to the optional anti-theft PIN. A sturdy hood made of tubular frame and steel plates provides for the best possible protection of the engine. The engine is water-cooled for all models and therefore also works reliably with a high level of performance even in high ambient temperatures. The open base plate of the vibratory plate is particularly easy to clean.
In order to ensure an optional load safety, the machine has five tie-downs: four on the base plate and one in the middle of the hood. The two-piece hood of the vibratory plates can be opened wide in just a few easy steps, thus allowing for quick and good service access.
The vibratory plates are optionally available with machine protection (warning or shutdown in the event of overcompaction) and compatec (display of the compaction progress)
