From 14 to 16 May 2019 at Spier Wine Farm, Stellenbosch, this is exactly what is to be expected as a group of delegates, accompanied by academics and industry experts gather to combine their knowledge, insight, passion and innovative ideas to find solutions and make a difference to the challenges found in the asset management industry.

During its sixth year the SAAMA 2019 conference will focus on the development of physical asset management in Southern Africa, with speakers equipping delegates to approach challenges smarter, and in addition, how this approach will impact our workforce, assets and operations. Smarter approaches that will be discussed during this year’s event include: digitalisation, IoT, mobile and technology, maturity principles and assessment, best practice in utilities and public sector, green and circular economy, competency and employee engagement, and capital projects.

The facilitators during this journey to excellence, include speakers such as Dr Calie Pistorius, who will be assessing the strategic impact, risks and opportunities presented by emerging technologies, Wout Theuws who will be giving his insights on creating a proactive safety culture, and Dean Fitt who presents the question, ‘why you need an intelligence network for your manufacturing and industrial assets’. Nezar Al Shammasi, one of the founders and Chairman of Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability (GSMR) based in the Arabian Gulf Region, will focus on maintenance and reliability, and Senior Researcher of Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, Zensuke Matsudaon on digital transformation. Lastly, Ark Wingrove, an experienced Asset Management Change Leader, will encourage delegates to build a new national asset management system.

In addition to ground-breaking and unprecedented keynote presentations, a wide variety of exhibitors will be present to offer members of this industry with information on the latest developments, global trends and best practices in asset management.

On the third day of this remarkable conference, delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in the first ever on-site visits.

This year, SAAMA 2019 will be the host of active participation amongst industry leaders, exclusive keynote addresses from various representatives, the establishment of partnerships between major role players in the industry through interactive sessions and vital networking, leaving delegates with renewed insight, knowledge, passion and expertise, to achieve optimal success and breakthroughs that once posed a threat to their significant role in the asset management industry. Guaranteed.
