PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Oil and gas producer Origin Energy has awarded a contract to project house GR Engineering Services over the Australia Pacific liquefied natural gas (APLNG) project.

The contract would see GR Engineering Services provide wellsite, gas production and water treatment facility maintenance, as well as major works, to support the APLNG operations and maintenance activities in Queensland.

GR Engineering said on Tuesday that the contract was expected to generate some A$50-million in revenue over its initial two-year term, with an option to extend the contract by another year.

The APLNG project comprised two processing trains, each with a 4.5-million-tonne-a-year nameplate production capacity.
