Donny Gouveia has resigned as the deputy CEO of Basil Read to pursue an opportunity in the construction/financial services industry, the JSE-listed group said on Thursday.

Gouveia, whose resignation is effective from July 31, joined Basil Read 12 years ago. He served as FD before taking up the role of deputy CEO in November 2010.

The board said in a statement that Gouveia had helped to build Basil Read into the company that it is today.

“The board expresses its deep gratitude to Mr Gouveia for his valuable contribution and dedication to the group over the last 12 years and wishes him well in his future endeavours,” it added.
