Goscor Power Products (Pty) Ltd  (0.08 MB)

Company Announcement - Goscor Power Products (Pty) Ltd, part of the Goscor Group of Companies and a leading Southern African distributor of a quality range of generators, engines and pumps, was recently appointed as the exclusive distributor of H-Power. This new range of world-class light construction equipment available to the Southern African market includes tamping rammers, vibratory rollers, concrete mixers, light towers and air-cooled engines.

The H-Power product range is manufactured by class leading, export-oriented company, Anhui H-Power Machinery Company Ltd. From its 55 000m2 facilities located in China’s Anhui Province, the company produces 50 thousand units per annum. Since its establishment in 2003, H-Power boasts an impressive market share, supplying high quality light construction equipment to Asia, Europe as well as North and South America. This rapid and successful growth is owed in no small part to the company’s insistence on ‘quality first and service paramount’. ISO 9001:2008, CE, EPA and CSA accredited H-Power works in close cooperation with premium brands such as Robin Subaru to ensure the supply of products that offer diversity and world-class quality.

Goscor Power Products has 30 years of experience in the power product industry with the supply of a holistic spectrum of industrial equipment including pumps, generators, welders, firefighters, engines, rammers, rollers and compactors. “We source all Goscor Power Products equipment from leading worldwide brands such as Robin Subaru,” says Goscor Power Products Managing Director, Mark Bester. “H-Power’s superior product quality as well as its extensive range made the decision to offer these products to the local market an easy one.”

The H-Power tamping rammer, available in a 4-stroke 2.9kW Robin Subaru petrol power unit, is extremely competitively priced without compromising on quality. According to Bester, the Robin Subaru engine has been specially designed for the rammer. He explains further: “Because all our equipment is tested specifically for the harsh dry and dusty Southern African conditions to ensure optimum reliability, maximised and uptime and low cost of ownership for the end user, we introduced a number of modifications to the H-Power tamping rammer for added reliability, safety, cost saving and convenience.”

Enhancements include the fitment of NSK bearings and a flexible German-manufactured bellow for extended service life. The rammer’s frame has been redesigned to facilitate access to the newly fitted snorkel type air cleaner which has a pre-filter inside and on the Robin Subaru engine for dual air cleaning functionality. The fitment of a top-mount durable, rust-free plastic fuel tank complete with protection bar speeds up refuelling to keep downtime to a minimum.  The throttle mechanism has been redesigned and improved to a click-in system that conveniently keeps the throttle in operation mode. “These modifications bring the rammer in line with Goscor Power Products’ stringent specifications and make it unique to our product offering,” notes Bester.

The reduced fuel consumption of the low maintenance machines lead to significant cost savings. With improved operator comfort another priority, features such as low noise levels, easy starting, outstanding balance and a heavy shock-mount system (that reduces hand and arm vibration), minimise operator fatigue and maximise work efficiency. The ingeniously designed protective side-frame and top cover shield the engine from damage. The rammer is also available in a 2.8kW diesel power source and an optional trolley wheel facilitates transportation.

“We are very excited about introducing the H-Power range to local industry because all the products in the range offer reliable performance and unique features that deliver outstanding cost saving benefits to the end user,” notes Bester. “For instance, unlike most of the chain or belt driven vibratory rollers available on the market, the H-Power HR-RH800 vibratory roller features a fully hydraulic drive system that delivers excellent compaction to all types of gravel and asphalt surfaces in both large as well as confined areas. The highly efficient, easy-to-manoeuvre H-Power Concrete Mixer, available in 350l and 240l drum capacities, delivers excellent production capacity while the H-Power Light Tower range can extend pneumatically to a remarkable 4.2m and conveniently offers auxiliary power from HP 5.5kvA diesel generator for the use of power tools.” Bester stresses that H-Power light towers offer a number of unique value adds and, at one third the cost of similar light towers, are extremely well priced.

Standard asphalt plate and hydraulic reversible plate compactors, concrete cutters, portable brick saws, vibratory screeds, pokers and drive units, hand held poker stick vibrators, power floats/trowels, electric concrete mixers, portable diesel air compressors (480l in 8 bar 10HP), air-cooled 12HP diesel engines as well as submersible pumps complete the H-Power product offering from Goscor Power Products. “We also have the capability to build diesel-powered 6kVa generators for customers.” Parts, spares and maintenance is part of the complete H-Power package which is available from and supported by Goscor’s strategically located nationwide dealer network.

In closing Bester says, “We have significantly increased our market share and have enjoyed tremendous growth over the past few years. In order to enhance our stock capabilities, accommodate larger stock volumes and improve our lead times, we will be moving to larger facilities this year so that we can assure our customers of continued service excellence.”
