Leading materials handling equipment solutions provider Goscor Lift Truck Company has appointed Windhoek-based Barex Equipment as its new dealer in Namibia. Erich Bartsch, MD of Barex Equipment says he is delighted to have been given this opportunity to distribute such a world class range of products: “These are extremely reliable products and they have an excellent reputation in Namibia. We will back this up with the same quality of customer service that has made these brands famous the world over,” says Bartsch.
He adds that Barex Equipment will initially start with two products, Doosan and Bendi forklifts, and will expand from there with the Crown, Hubtex and Taylor-Dunn product range, as business develops.
Doosan and Bendi have certainly made their name throughout the Southern African region. Doosan is famous for its “brakes for life system”. This is an oil-cooled disc brake system, which, being totally enclosed, eliminates all outside contamination of any humid, abrasive or corrosive dust particles. The system significantly reduces operating costs and Doosan offers on it a 60-month, unlimited hours guarantee.
“It’s all about managing the life-time costs of operation“ says Bartsch, “and the ‘Brakes for Life’ system is a significant contributor to managing costs over the lifetime of the machine.”
In addition, the Bendi range, with its unique ability to work in narrow aisles will help Namibian clients to optimise their warehouse space. “With ever-increasing rentals and the need to make more use of less space, this is a distinct advantage,” says Bartsch.
